The Marchesi Antinori cellar was conceived to allow the grapes and must to be moved by gravity flow, eliminating mechanical pumping. The elaboration of the wine by means of this natural type of free-fall is, in fact, a method which allows the grapes to be worked with the maximum delicacy, with results which are immediately felt in the glass: the wine is more balanced, more elegant, and with suppler tannins. Everything begins on the top floor, the site where the grapes arrive from the vineyards, where expert hands proceed to select the finest berries, eliminating those which are not perfect.
