Weinbeschreibung | The wine showed a light golden color. Tart apple and limestone appeared on the nose with hints of pear as the wine opened up. Tart apple, oak, Meyer lemon and some minerality arrived on the palate. With a light-medium bodied composition, the wine showed, nice acidity and balance without excessive oak. The best feature of this wine may have been its understated oak. While it was certainly present, it did not overwhelm the fruit or minerality and allowed the wine to be a proper representation of a cool climate chardonnay. It would go perfectly with pasta with a light cream sauce, or simply with a piece of parmigiano reggiano. |
