The origin of the winery dates back to 1891, the year of birth of Don Emilio Moro, the first generation, in Pesquera de Duero (Valladolid), a privileged enclave of the Ribera de Duero surrounded by vineyards.
Emilio Moro, grandfather of the current owners, taught his son, Emilio Moro, about the love for wine, and the latter, in turn, transmitted it to his children.
Today, it is the third and fourth generations who run the winery, and to speak of Emilio Moro is to speak of four generations whose lives are dedicated to the world of wine. They know it. They listen to it.
Bodegas Emilio Moro owns some 300 hectares of its own vineyards in Ribera del Duero, where it makes Tempranillo variety reds and a rosé wine.
In 2016 the winery began its project in El Bierzo where, with 60 hectares of vineyards, it produces 100% Godello whites and Mencía reds.
