Weinbeschreibung

It has shows some of the ripest fruit I have tasted in this vintage. There are aspects of the bouquet that taste downright jammy with overtones of strawberry and blackcurrant. The wine's concentration is dense, dark and brooding. The bouquet is similarly dense with fruit-forward tones that affirm the bounty of its primary aromas.

Top-Tier Brunello, Rare Find

The 2017 Capanna Brunello di Montalcino is a masterclass in Sangiovese elegance — already cellared to perfection and now ready for your glass. Decanter calls it “awash with alluring red fruit and an underlying frisson of black olive savouries... ample, weighty, with dusty tannins and supple acidity.” A long, enduring finish seals the deal.

Compared to other Brunello favorites on Vivino like Casanova di Neri or Lisini (often $70–$100+), Capanna delivers equal pedigree at a fraction of the cost.

Capanna is one of Brunello’s founding estates, established in 1957 by Giuseppe Cencioni, one of the 25 original signers of the Brunello Consorzio. Nestled in the prized Montosoli area (just behind Lisini), this family-run estate has passed winemaking tradition through four generations. Today, Patrizio and Amedeo Cencioni continue that legacy, crafting wines that honor the classic Brunello style — deep, structured, and built to age.

This is luxury Brunello, with heritage and terroir baked in — without the usual triple-digit price tag.

Brunello Italien

Italien

From the picturesque hilltop town of Montalcino in Tuscany, Brunello is one of Italy's best red wines.

Brunello is made totally from Sangiovese, Tuscany's flagship grape that is prized for its ability to reflect where it's grown. It is typically bolder than Chianti, Tuscany's other famous Sangiovese wine. Why not find out for yourself by trying Brunello and Chianti side-by-side?
