Stéphane Usseglio, the visionary behind an esteemed 99-point Châteauneuf, lauded by the Wine Advocate as a “near-perfect contender,” dared to defy convention. The legacy of winemaking in the Usseglio family dates back to Stéphane's grandfather, Francis, who journeyed from Italy to Châteauneuf-du-Pape in 1931, laying the groundwork for what would become Domaine Pierre Usseglio. Stéphane's father, Raymond, carved his own path by founding his estate in 1964, eventually entrusting Stéphane with the reins in 2004, thereby ensuring the continuation of a storied tradition of viticulture and winemaking expertise.
