Argentinian Chardonnay wines are some of the most popular white wines in the country, but they are quickly gaining a reputation for being a stand-out region worldwide as well. There has been something of a revolution in the last few decades to seek out new and unique places to grow the grape, including extreme locations in the mountains. Argentina is blessed with altitude and sunshine, 2 factors that can really make this grape pop. If you look at wines composed of grapes grown at higher altitude in the mountains, you'll find delicious citrus and mineral characters. A bit further down in the sunny valleys, more lush stone fruits will show up in the glass. Argentinian Chardonnay will pair well with buttery sauces, complement poultry and fish dishes, and go great with mild, fresh cheese.
