The next "it" varietal from Argentina!
I thoroughly enjoyed this wine. It paired well with enchiladas. This is a big wine and it pairs well with food with big flavors. The color is dark ruby. The nose when first opened had oak aromas which became more subtle as the wine was allowed to breathe. The oak gave way to vanilla, figs, and white pepper. The body is heavy with medium acidity. On the palate the wine is a bit spicy with soft tannins. The finish is long and peppery. This wine has a lot to offer; it is interesting but it isn't for everyone.
heavy on the fruit, vanilla, black/blueberry, and very sweet... excellent alone or with a heavy (relatively bitter) meal
