Galil Mountain Winery was established as a joint venture in 2000 between world-renowned Golan Heights Winery and Kibbutz Yiron, uniting the best of tradition and technology in winemaking. The Upper Galilee mountain range is the heart and soul of Galil Mountain Winery and has been known for quality grape cultivation for over 2,000 years. Today, the area’s topography, soil, and climate make the area an ideal home for the vibrant winery: vines are planted up to 2,800 feet and enjoy warm summer days and cool nights, with snow and frost in winter.
A Commitment to Sustainability
A shared commitment to ethical winemaking practices with Golan Heights Winery has propelled the Galil Mountain Winery vineyards to be the first in Israel to receive accredited sustainable certification under the rigorous and renowned LODI RULES program.
“The earth and nature are the keys to our success. It’s natural for us to do whatever we can to keep them healthy over time.” - Galil Mountain Winery
